Science Camp at Camp Cullen gives your child three hours a day of dedicated time. During these hours we expand their knowledge in the areas of geology, biology, and astronomy.
Joining our summer science programs creates a sense of community. It also helps participants develop their minds and explore the world around them. These will be exclusive adventures for Science campers who will be a part of a unique camp experience.
Science Summer Camp helps children learn and grow. Campers can use our telescopes, microscopes, and other materials to study life at camp.
Science Camp offers a 3-hour session each day where campers explore exciting topics, including:
- Geology: Our Houston geology camp is a fun journey into the earth’s past. Kids get to do hands-on activities in our geology room, playing with rocks, minerals, and fossils.
They learn about physical sciences by exploring Houston’s own onsite rock quarry outdoors. Geology camp activities are like being a detective, but for rocks! Science camps for kids are exciting and help kids think and observe like real scientists.
- Environmental Science: In Houston, we care a lot about our planet. That’s why our environmental science camp is all about teaching kids to be the planet’s friends.
They’ll tackle issues like trash, recycling, and keeping our water clean through fun projects. We study biology and chemistry to understand how our actions affect water quality and the environment in natural sciences. Campers get their hands dirty while learning how every little bit helps in making our world a better place.
- Astronomy: East Texas nights have some of the brightest stars, perfect for our astronomy camp! At our camp, Cullen kids get to explore space without leaving the ground.
They learn about the solar system, the space race, and even space stations. With telescopes, they’ll spot different planets and constellations, understanding how everything moves in Earth’s orbit. This camp is all about sparking love for the vast universe and maybe inspiring some future astronauts.
