Y Guides

Y Guides encourages parents and their kids to spend uninterrupted time together building lifelong memories and bonds. Kids in grades K-3 can participate in Y Guides & Princesses, grades 4-12 are invited to participate in our Trailblazers program.

The participants form tribes with seven to nine other father/child pairs in their community and meet in members' homes once or twice a month to do fun activities like games, crafts and stories. Some tribes organize monthly outings like camping, community service projects, hiking, cookouts, short trips and more.

Trails

The Trails program is for parents with kids in grades 4-8. You are welcome to join Trails at any time, even if you weren't previously a Y Guides participant. The aim of the program is to enrich the companionship between father and child and continue strengthening the friendships within your tribe. Tribes can continue together or pairs can participate individually. Siblings and different age groups can combine into a tribe, the only requirement is that they are in grades 4-8.

Trailblazers

The Trailblazers program is available for a group to begin when they age out of the Trails program. Kids in grades 9-12 can participate in this program to continue growing their relationship with their parents. Please call us at 936-594-2274 if you are interested in beginning this program.

Camp Cullen was so fun for me because it was a learning experience, and I got to meet really awesome people. I got to do tubing and the zip line, which I could never do at home, and the counselors were so nice.
