Over its 120 year history, the YMCA of Greater Houston has changed lives and communities by providing programs and services where they are needed most. From the farthest suburb to the most central urban community, the YMCA is there.
Consider making a contribution to YMCA Camping Services Annual Partners Campaign, all dollars raised scholarship children in need. The monies raised will give hundred’s of children an opportunity to attend a week of Resident Summer Camp that otherwise could not afford it. These children dream of the chance to pack their suitcase and spend a week at summer camp.
YMCA Camp programs stress the importance of values & character development that builds honesty, respect, caring, faith and responsibility among our children. Each year the need grows for more kids to experience horse back riding, swimming, camp songs, archery, water sports, values sessions, ropes course,arts/crafts and hiking. We find our residential camps help children gain independence and leadership skills. Summer camp is a magical place that reinforces life long Christian values and morals in God’s natural outdoor environment.
